For Press, Bloggers, Podcasters, Book Clubs, etc.
I’m always happy to consider readings, interviews, and speaking/writing engagements with book groups, podcasters, book bloggers, and journalists. I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but can be available via Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts, or whatever the video-conferencing software du jour happens to be.

Be forewarned: I don’t always read or reply to emails—especially if they sound like spammy fishing emails hoping to promote your web design or marketing business.
I usually check my inbox at least once a week, but sometimes I travel places without Internet, so it may take me a couple days to get back to you. If it’s been more than a week, though, feel free to email me again in case my hawkish Spam filter was being overly priggish.
If you are a fan of my work and already subscribed to my newsletter, you can just hit “reply” and the email will find its way to me.
You can also write me a letter:

Am I on social media? Kinda. Sorta. Not really.
I have social media accounts, but I’m not very active on them—very anachronistic and un-millennial of me, I know. People have been telling me for years that social media is “really important,” but I’ve never been consistent on them. The most important parts of my life are all offline, and I really value the peace that brings to my life.
The way I think of online platforms is like this: Social media accounts are kind of like having my phone number and address in the white pages of a phonebook. Their purpose is to bring you here, to my website. My website is my house. My newsletter is where the party is.
If you’d like to join the party, you can sign up with the form below to receive a free short story ebook. You’ll also be notified whenever I have a new blog post, short story, book review, playlist—or anything else I think might be fun to share.
