Excellent! Let’s get on with the tutorial for how to apply your coupon and get your discount on Payhip…
First, go to my Payhip store linked above and click on the ebook you want to buy:
Click Buy Now (or Add to Cart if you want multiple products).
Note: The “Pay what you want (minimum $9.99)” is there for people who are feeling especially generous and want to pay MORE than the cover price in order to give me an extra boost. Since you are here to learn about how to use the coupons, you can leave the price as-is. In the next step, you will apply your coupon to get your discount…
Enter your email address and location (required for tax purposes) and then click Add coupon, as highlighted above.
Enter coupon and click Add coupon. The LOYALTY coupon shown above will get you a 20% discount off of anything in my store (before taxes).
ZING! Here you see the 20% discount for the LOYALTY coupon has been applied.
Click Continue with Purchase
Here you see the the total price adjustments, with the coupon and then taxes.
Now you can continue with your purchase via PayPal or Card.
Once you have completed your purchase, you will get an email receipt from Payhip which will give you links to download the ebooks directly from them. Within a few minutes, you will get ANOTHER email from BookFunnel with easy-to-use instructions on how to access the book through them. Refer your friends and an even MORE savings!
Be sure to check out the bar at the top of my Payhip sales page that says: “Refer a Friend and get 25% off! They’ll get 25% off too!” This means that for each friend you refer who buys the ebook, you will be emailed a coupon from Payhip. You can add these coupons together, so if you referred 4 friends who bought the ebook, you would be able to get my ebook for free with a 100% coupon! Here’s how:
Start here, on the product page:
Click on the “Refer a friend” link highlighted above.
Type your email so that you can get the promo code, and then click “Start Sharing.”
This will generate a unique referral link that you can email to a friend, or share on Facebook, Messenger, etc. (Note: The link shown above is just an example. You’d have to go through this process to get your own referral link.)
Once your friend (Skylar) clicks on that shared link, they would land on a Buy-page similar to the one shown above. At the top of the page they would see a message like the one highlighted: “Congratulations! Your friend has given you a 25% discount. Use the coupon code LTI67YCQL but hurry, it expires in 22 hours.” Your friend (Skylar) can redeem this code to get their discount and complete their purchase. (Note: The code LTI67YCQL is just an example, a unique coupon code is generated for every friend of the original buyer. This code can only be redeemed once.)
Here you see that Skylar has gotten their 25% discount.
Now that Skylar has completed their purchase, you get a reward for helping me share my work with more people! Payhip will automatically email you your very own coupon code, which you can apply to get your promised discount.
The awesome thing about this is that the more readers you successfully refer, the greater your discount grows. So, since each referral gets you a 25% discount, if you refer 2 friends who purchase the ebook, you will get a 50% off coupon code. If you refer 3 friends who purchase, then you get a 75% off coupon code.
